न पठेत्पिशुनानां च एकाकी तु पठेद्गृहे ॥ पठेद्ब्राह्मणमध्ये च ये च वेदविदां वराः

na paṭhet piśunānāṃ ca ekākī tu paṭhed gṛhe || paṭhed brāhmaṇa-madhye ca ye ca veda-vidāṃ varāḥ

புறங்கூறுவோர், பழிசொல்லுவோர் நடுவில் பாராயணம் செய்யக் கூடாது; வீட்டில் தனியாகவே பாராயணம் செய்ய வேண்டும். மேலும் வேதத்தை அறிந்தோரில் சிறந்த பிராமணர்கள் நடுவிலும் பாராயணம் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
