Verse 8

Atma

तद्वद्ब्रह्मविदोऽप्यस्य ब्रह्माहमिति वेदनम् । भानुनेव जगत्सर्वं भास्यते यस्य तेजसा ॥८॥

तद्वत् । ब्रह्म-विदः । अपि । अस्य । ब्रह्म । अहम् । इति । वेदनम् । भानुना । इव । जगत् । सर्वम् । भास्यते । यस्य । तेजसा ॥

tadvat brahmavido’py asya brahmāham iti vedanam | bhānuneva jagat sarvaṃ bhāsyate yasya tejasā ||8||

அதுபோல பிரஹ்மவித்திற்கும் “நானே பிரஹ்மம்” என்ற வேதனம் நிரபேக்ஷமும் உடனடியாகச் சித்தமுமானது. சூரியனால் உலகமெல்லாம் ஒளிர்வதுபோல், யாருடைய தேஜஸால் முழு ஜகத்தும் பிரகாசிக்கிறதோ.

So too, for the knower of Brahman, this knowledge—“I am Brahman”—(is independent/immediate). Like (the world) by the sun, the entire universe is illumined by whose radiance.
