आपस्तंब उवाच । श्रमेण महताविष्टाः कैवर्त्ता दुःखजीविनः । मम मूल्यं प्रयच्छेति यद्योग्यं मन्यसे नृप
āpastaṃba uvāca | śrameṇa mahatāviṣṭāḥ kaivarttā duḥkhajīvinaḥ | mama mūlyaṃ prayaccheti yadyogyaṃ manyase nṛpa
ஆபஸ்தம்பர் கூறினார்—“மிகுந்த உழைப்பால் வாடி, துன்ப வாழ்வு வாழும் மீனவர்கள் ‘எங்கள் விலையை (ஊதியத்தை) அளியுங்கள்’ என்கிறார்கள். அரசே, உமக்கு உரியதாகத் தோன்றினால் அதை வழங்குங்கள்.”
