श्रुत्वैतद्वचनं सोऽपि मुनिरुग्रतपास्तदा । पिता मे यो हतो देवैस्तेषां कृत्यां महाबलाम्
śrutvaitadvacanaṃ so'pi munirugratapāstadā | pitā me yo hato devaisteṣāṃ kṛtyāṃ mahābalām
இவ்வார்த்தையைக் கேட்டு, கடும் தவம் புரியும் அந்த முனிவர் அப்போது (முடிவெடுத்தார்): 'என் தந்தை தேவர்களால் கொல்லப்பட்டதால், அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக பெரும் வலிமை வாய்ந்த கிருத்யையை (அழிக்கும் சக்தியை) ஏவுவேன்.'
