caturdaśyāṃ vidhānena kṛṣṇapakṣe yatātmavān | pūjayedgandhapuṣpaiśca balidānaistathottamaiḥ

கிருஷ்ணபட்சத்தின் சதுர்தசியில் விதிமுறையுடன், தன்னடக்கம் கொண்டு, சந்தனம் முதலிய நறுமணங்களாலும் மலர்களாலும், மேலும் சிறந்த பலி-அர்ப்பணங்களாலும் பூஜை செய்ய வேண்டும்.
