अथोवाच महादेवः सर्वांस्तांस्त्रिदशालयान् । वृणुध्वं सुवरं सर्वे मत्तो यन्मनसीप्सितम्
athovāca mahādevaḥ sarvāṃstāṃstridaśālayān | vṛṇudhvaṃ suvaraṃ sarve matto yanmanasīpsitam
பின்பு மகாதேவர் அந்தத் திரிதச-வாசிகளையெல்லாம் நோக்கி— ‘எல்லோரும் என்னிடமிருந்து உயர்ந்த வரத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடுங்கள்; உங்கள் மனம் விரும்புவது எதுவோ அதையே’ என்று கூறினார்।
