ब्रह्मोवाच । मम स्पर्धा समुत्पन्ना विष्णुना सह शोभने । लिंगस्यास्य हि पर्यंतं यो लभिष्यति चावयोः
brahmovāca | mama spardhā samutpannā viṣṇunā saha śobhane | liṃgasyāsya hi paryaṃtaṃ yo labhiṣyati cāvayoḥ
பிரம்மா கூறினார்—ஹே அழகியவளே! எனக்கும் விஷ்ணுவுக்கும் போட்டி எழுந்தது; நம்மிருவரில் யார் இந்த லிங்கத்தின் எல்லையை அடைவாரோ, அவரே மேலானவர் என ஏற்கப்படுவார்.
