त्यक्तस्तु वह्निना मर्त्यस्ततो नाशं गता नराः । शेषनाशाद्वयं सर्वे विनंक्ष्यामो न संशयः
tyaktastu vahninā martyastato nāśaṃ gatā narāḥ | śeṣanāśādvayaṃ sarve vinaṃkṣyāmo na saṃśayaḥ
அக்னி மானவர்களை விட்டு விலகியதால் மனிதர்கள் அழிவை அடைந்தனர். மீதமுள்ளதும் அழிந்தால் நாமும்—நாம் அனைவரும்—நிச்சயமாக அழிவோம்; இதில் ஐயமில்லை.
