दूत उवाच । या सा सर्वगता देवी शक्तिरूपा शुचि स्मिता । श्रीमाता जगतां माता देवैराराधिता परा । तेषां तुष्टा च देवी त्वामिदं वचनमब्रवीत्
dūta uvāca | yā sā sarvagatā devī śaktirūpā śuci smitā | śrīmātā jagatāṃ mātā devairārādhitā parā | teṣāṃ tuṣṭā ca devī tvāmidaṃ vacanamabravīt
தூதன் கூறினான்—எங்கும் நிறைந்திருக்கும் அந்த தேவி, சக்தி-ஸ்வரூபிணி, தூயவள், மெல்லிய புன்னகையுடையவள்; ஸ்ரீமாதா, ஜகன்மாதா, தேவர்களால் ஆராதிக்கப்படும் பரமேஸ்வரி—அவர்கள் மீது மகிழ்ந்து உனக்கு இச்செய்தியை உரைக்கிறாள்.
