दूतं कलिंगदैत्याय त्यज त्वं त्रिदिवं द्रुतम् । स गत्वा बाष्कलिं दैत्यं सामपूर्वं वचोऽब्रवीत्
dūtaṃ kaliṃgadaityāya tyaja tvaṃ tridivaṃ drutam | sa gatvā bāṣkaliṃ daityaṃ sāmapūrvaṃ vaco'bravīt
தேவி கலிங்க தானவனிடம் தூதனை அனுப்பினாள்—“நீ உடனே திரிதிவத்தை (விண்ணுலகத்தை) விட்டு விடு.” அவன் சென்று பாஷ்கலி அசுரனிடம் முதலில் சமநயமான இனிய சொற்களால் கூறினான்.
