Vasiṣṭha (narration)
Scene: Takṣaka, radiant and formidable, emerges at the tree’s base, snatches the earrings, and darts southward; the earrings flash as they vanish, while the ascetic remains above, unaware for a moment.
A moment’s lapse can undo hard-won gains; dharma requires uninterrupted attentiveness when safeguarding what is entrusted.
