ईश्वर उवाच । पंगो तुष्टो महादेवो वरं वरय सुव्रत । तव दास्याम्यहं सर्वं यद्यपि स्यात्सुदुर्लभम्
īśvara uvāca | paṃgo tuṣṭo mahādevo varaṃ varaya suvrata | tava dāsyāmyahaṃ sarvaṃ yadyapi syātsudurlabham
ஈசுவரன் உரைத்தான்—பங்கு, மகாதேவன் மகிழ்ந்தான். நல்ல விரதனே, வரம் கேள்; மிக அரிதானதாயினும் அனைத்தையும் நான் அளிப்பேன்।
