इंद्रद्युम्नापरिज्ञाने भद्रकोऽयं मुमूर्षति । तस्यानु मित्रं मार्कंडस्तं चान्वहमपि स्फुटम्
iṃdradyumnāparijñāne bhadrako'yaṃ mumūrṣati | tasyānu mitraṃ mārkaṃḍastaṃ cānvahamapi sphuṭam
இந்திரத்யும்னனை அறியாததால் இந்தப் பத்ரகன் மரணத்துக்கு நெருங்கிவிட்டான். அவனைத் தொடர்ந்து அவனுடைய நண்பன் மார்கண்டனும்—தெளிவாகவே—அவனுடன் சேர்ந்து (மரணத்தை நோக்கி) செல்வான்.
