नारद उवाच । नाडीजंघबकेनोक्तां वाचमाकर्ण्यभूपतिः । मार्कंडेयेन संयुक्तो बभूवातीव दुःखितः
nārada uvāca | nāḍījaṃghabakenoktāṃ vācamākarṇyabhūpatiḥ | mārkaṃḍeyena saṃyukto babhūvātīva duḥkhitaḥ
நாரதர் கூறினார்—நாடீஜங்க-பகன் சொன்ன சொற்களை கேட்ட அரசன், மார்கண்டேய முனிவருடன் சேர்ந்து, மிகுந்த துயரத்தில் ஆழ்ந்தான்।
