श्रुता द्वैपायनमुखात्कथां वक्ष्यामि चात्र वः । पुरा द्रुपदराजस्य पुत्रीमासाद्य पांडवाः
śrutā dvaipāyanamukhātkathāṃ vakṣyāmi cātra vaḥ | purā drupadarājasya putrīmāsādya pāṃḍavāḥ
த்வைபாயனன் (வ்யாசர்) வாய்மொழியாக நான் கேட்ட கதையையே இங்கே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன். முற்காலத்தில் பாண்டவர்கள் த்ருபதராஜனின் மகளைக் கைப்பற்றினர்.
