एकस्मिंस्तोलयेच्छिक्ये ज्ञातं सूपोषितं नरम् । द्वितीये मृत्तिकां शुभ्रां गौरां तु तुलयेद्बुधः
ekasmiṃstolayecchikye jñātaṃ sūpoṣitaṃ naram | dvitīye mṛttikāṃ śubhrāṃ gaurāṃ tu tulayedbudhaḥ
தராசின் ஒரு தட்டில் நன்கு அறியப்பட்டு நன்கு போஷிக்கப்பட்ட மனிதனை எடையிட வேண்டும்; மற்ற தட்டில் அறிவுடையவன் தூய, ஒளிரும், கோர நிறமுடைய களிமண்ணை எடையிட வேண்டும்.
