ईर्ष्यया सुमहद्दुःखं मोहाद्रक्तस्य जायते । मत्तस्य कुपितस्यैव रागो दोषाय केवलम्
īrṣyayā sumahadduḥkhaṃ mohādraktasya jāyate | mattasya kupitasyaiva rāgo doṣāya kevalam
மயக்கத்தால் நிறமடைந்த மனத்தவர்க்கு பொறாமையால் மிகப் பெருந்துயரம் உண்டாகிறது. மயக்கமும் கோபமும் கொண்டவர்க்கு ஆசை வெறும் குற்றமாகவே நிற்கிறது.
