दुष्टानां घातनं लोके पाशेन च निबन्धनम् । एवं सरीसृपाणां च दुःखं मातर्मुहुर्मुहुः
duṣṭānāṃ ghātanaṃ loke pāśena ca nibandhanam | evaṃ sarīsṛpāṇāṃ ca duḥkhaṃ mātarmuhurmuhuḥ
உலகில் தீயோர் கொல்லப்படுகின்றனர்; சிலர் கயிற்றுப் பாசத்தால் கட்டப்படுகின்றனர். அன்னையே, இவ்வாறே ஊர்வனங்களும் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் துயரத்தை அடைகின்றன।
