अर्द्धेन स्नापयेत्पूर्वं कुर्याच्च मलघर्षणम् । सर्वेण स्नापयेत्पश्चात्पूजयेत्स्नापयेत्ततः
arddhena snāpayetpūrvaṃ kuryācca malagharṣaṇam | sarveṇa snāpayetpaścātpūjayetsnāpayettataḥ
முதலில் நீரின் ஒரு பகுதியால் லிங்கத்திற்கு அபிஷேகம் செய்து, மாசுகளை உரசி நீக்க வேண்டும். பின்னர் முழுமையாக அபிஷேகம் செய்து, அதன் பின் பூஜை செய்து விதிப்படி மீண்டும் அபிஷேகம் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
