स्थंडिलस्था च हेमंते निराहारा तताप सा । एतस्मिन्नंतरे दैत्यो ह्यंधकस्य सुतो बली
sthaṃḍilasthā ca hemaṃte nirāhārā tatāpa sā | etasminnaṃtare daityo hyaṃdhakasya suto balī
ஹேமந்த காலத்தில் அவள் வெறும் தரையில் அமர்ந்து, நிராஹாரமாகத் தவம் செய்தாள். அச்சமயத்தில் அந்தகனின் மகனான வலிமைமிக்க தைத்யன் அங்கு வந்தான்.
