மகனால் காக்கப்பட்ட மலைமகள் தவம் செய்தாள்; கோடையில் பஞ்சாக்னியின் வெப்பத்தைத் தாங்கி, மழைக்காலத்தில் நீரில் நனைந்து இருந்தாள்.
