देव्युवाच । मनसस्त्वं प्रभुः शंभो दत्तं तच्च मया तव । वपुषः पितरावीशौ तौ सम्मानयितुमर्हसि
devyuvāca | manasastvaṃ prabhuḥ śaṃbho dattaṃ tacca mayā tava | vapuṣaḥ pitarāvīśau tau sammānayitumarhasi
தேவி கூறினாள்—ஓ ஷம்போ, என் மனத்தின் ஆண்டவன் நீயே; அந்த மனத்தை நான் உனக்கே அர்ப்பணித்தேன். ஆனால் என் உடலின் பெற்றோர் அந்த இரு வணக்கத்தக்கோர்; அவர்களை நீ மதிக்க வேண்டும்।
