Transliteration

bṛhaspatiruvāca | sāmapūrvaṃ smṛtā nītiścaturaṃgāmanīkinīm | jigīṣatāṃ suraśreṣṭha sthitireṣā sanātanī

Translation

பிருகஸ்பதி கூறினார்—தேவர்களிலே சிறந்தவனே! வெற்றியை நாடுவோரின் நীতি முதலில் ‘சாமம்’ என நினைவுகூரப்படுகிறது; அது நான்கு அங்கங்களுடைய சேனையில் தக்கவாறு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். இதுவே வெற்றியாளர்க்கு சனாதனமான வழிமுறை.
