Skanda (deduced, Kāśīkhaṇḍa context) to Agastya
Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra (general vrata context)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya (frame implied)
Scene: A pilgrim bows to an ācārya in Kāśī, receives blessing, then respectfully escorts him to the boundary gate/ghāṭ approach, distributing small gifts to attendants and the poor.
Dharma is not only ritual; it is also gratitude and service—honouring the guide and sharing merit through charitable giving.
The Kāśī-khaṇḍa frame remains in view; the verse highlights social dharma (honouring ācārya and dāna) rather than a named tīrtha.
Take formal leave, receive the ācārya’s assent, escort him to the boundary, and give additional gifts to others as one is able.
