कल्पेकल्पेखिलंविश्वं कालयेद्यः स्वलीलया । तं कालं कलयित्वा यो महाकालो भवत्किल
kalpekalpekhilaṃviśvaṃ kālayedyaḥ svalīlayā | taṃ kālaṃ kalayitvā yo mahākālo bhavatkila
ஒவ்வொரு கல்பத்திலும் தன் தெய்வீக லீலையால் முழு உலகையும் லயப்படுத்தி, காலத்தையே அடக்கி ஆள்பவன்—அவனே நிச்சயமாக ‘மகாகாலன்’ எனப் போற்றப்படுகிறான்.
