वाहीको नामतो यज्ञसूत्रमात्रपरिग्रहः । परिग्रहश्च तस्यासीत्कौविंदी विधवा नवा
vāhīko nāmato yajñasūtramātraparigrahaḥ | parigrahaśca tasyāsītkauviṃdī vidhavā navā
அவன் பெயர் வாஹீகன்; அவனுடைய ஒரே ‘உடைமை’ யஜ்ஞோபவீதம் மட்டுமே. அவனுடைய பற்றுப்பாசம் இளமையான கௌவிந்தி—நெசவாளர் குலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த விதவை—அவளிடமே இருந்தது.
