धनैरनंधो यत्रास्ति मनो नैव च भोजनम् । अनयः स्यंदनं यत्र न च वै राजपूरुषः
dhanairanaṃdho yatrāsti mano naiva ca bhojanam | anayaḥ syaṃdanaṃ yatra na ca vai rājapūruṣaḥ
செல்வமே ‘கண்’ ஆகி, உணவிலும் மனம் நிறைவு பெறாத இடம்; அநீதி வாழ்க்கை ரதத்தை இழுக்கும் தேராகி, தர்மநிஷ்ட அரச அதிகாரம் இல்லாத இடம்—அந்த நாடு அதர்மமானதாக அறியப்படுகிறது।
