तं निवार्य तदा ब्रह्मा तारां पप्रच्छ संशयम् । प्रोवाच प्रांजलिः सा तं सोमस्येति पितामहम्
taṃ nivārya tadā brahmā tārāṃ papraccha saṃśayam | provāca prāṃjaliḥ sā taṃ somasyeti pitāmaham
அவரைத் தடுத்து, பிரம்மா சந்தேகத்தைத் தீர்க்கத் தாரையைக் கேட்டார். தாரை கைகூப்பி பிதாமகன் பிரம்மாவிடம்—“(இந்தக் குழந்தை) சோமனுடையது” என்று கூறினாள்।
