पृच्छमाना यदा देवै र्नाह ताराऽतिसत्रपा । तदा सा शप्तुमारब्धा कुमारेणातितेजसा
pṛcchamānā yadā devai rnāha tārā'tisatrapā | tadā sā śaptumārabdhā kumāreṇātitejasā
தேவர்கள் கேட்டபோது, மிகுந்த வெட்கத்தில் ஆழ்ந்த தாரை ஒரு சொல்லும் பதிலளிக்க இயலவில்லை. அப்போது மிகுந்த ஒளிமிகு குமாரன் (ஸ்கந்தன்) அவளைச் சபிக்கத் தொடங்கினான்।
