वर्षमध्ये प्रकुर्वीत तथा सुप्ते जनार्द्दने । पौषे च लुप्तं कृत्वा च श्रौतं स्मार्त्तं करोति यः
varṣamadhye prakurvīta tathā supte janārddane | pauṣe ca luptaṃ kṛtvā ca śrautaṃ smārttaṃ karoti yaḥ
மழைக்காலத்தின் நடுவில், அல்லது ஜனார்த்தனன் (விஷ்ணு) சயனத்தில் இருக்கும் காலத்தில் இவ்விதிகளைச் செய்பவன், மேலும் பௌஷ மாதத்தில் விரதம் லுப்தமெனக் கருதியும் ஸ்ரௌத-ஸ்மார்த்த கர்மங்களைச் செய்வவன்—நியமத்திற்கு மாறாக நடக்கிறான்।
