गतास्ते वृत्तिभाजः स्युर्नान्ये वृत्त्यभिभागिनः । तत्र नैव गता ये वै चातुर्विद्यत्वमागताः
gatāste vṛttibhājaḥ syurnānye vṛttyabhibhāginaḥ | tatra naiva gatā ye vai cāturvidyatvamāgatāḥ
அங்கே சென்றவர்களே வாழ்வாதாரப் பங்குகளின் உரிய உரிமையாளர்களானார்கள்; பிறர் அந்த உரிமையில் பங்குபெறவில்லை. ஆனால் ‘சாதுர்வித்ய’ நிலையை அடைந்தவர்கள் அங்கே செல்லவே இல்லை.
