सौम्ये तु काञ्चनं दद्यादीशाने घृतमेव च । प्रदद्याद्यमराजो मे प्रीयतामित्युदीरयन्
saumye tu kāñcanaṃ dadyādīśāne ghṛtameva ca | pradadyādyamarājo me prīyatāmityudīrayan
சௌம்ய திசை (வடக்கு) யில் காஞ்சனம் (தங்கம்) தானம் செய்ய வேண்டும்; ஈசானத்தில் (வடகிழக்கு) நெய்யும் அளிக்க வேண்டும். ‘யமராஜா என்மேல் பிரியமடையட்டும்’ என்று கூறி தானம் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
