चित्रसेन उवाच । अर्घस्यास्य न योग्योऽहं महर्षे नास्मि भाषणे । मृगमध्यस्थितो विप्रस्तव पुत्रो मया हतः
citrasena uvāca | arghasyāsya na yogyo'haṃ maharṣe nāsmi bhāṣaṇe | mṛgamadhyasthito viprastava putro mayā hataḥ
சித்ரசேனன் கூறினான்—ஓ மகரிஷியே, இந்த அர்க்கியத்தை ஏற்க நான் தகுதியற்றவன்; பேசுவதற்கும் நான் பாத்திரன் அல்ல. ஓ பிராமணரே, மான்களின் நடுவில் நின்ற உங்கள் மகனை நான் கொன்றேன்।
