नादाद्विनिःसृतो बिंदुर्बिंदोदेवस्सदाशिवः । तस्मान्महेश्वरो जातः शुद्धविद्या महेश्वरात्
nādādviniḥsṛto biṃdurbiṃdodevassadāśivaḥ | tasmānmaheśvaro jātaḥ śuddhavidyā maheśvarāt
நாதத்திலிருந்து பிந்து வெளிப்பட்டது; அந்தப் பிந்துவே தேவன் சதாசிவன். அவரிடமிருந்து மகேஸ்வரன் தோன்றினான்; மகேஸ்வரனிடமிருந்து சுத்தவித்யை வெளிப்பட்டது.

Nāda and Bindu are subtle principles often contemplated through the Linga as a symbol of the unmanifest becoming manifest; Saguna worship focuses the mind so the devotee can ascend from form to the inner Sadāśiva principle and the clarifying light of Śuddha-vidyā.
Meditate on the inner sound (nāda-anusandhāna) while repeating the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” visualizing a luminous bindu at the heart or between the brows, praying for Śuddha-vidyā—pure discernment that loosens pāśa (bondage).
