It links Vedic revelation with the yogic analysis of consciousness, identifying “jāgrat” (wakefulness) as a definable spiritual mode and presenting Veda as pervading reality—supporting Shaiva Siddhanta’s view that true knowledge leads the bound soul (paśu) toward Shiva (Pati).
By framing Veda as all-pervading and authoritative, it supports scriptural worship (āgama-veda-sammata) of Shiva—where Saguna forms like the Linga are approached through revealed sound, meaning, and disciplined awareness beginning from the waking state.
A practical takeaway is mindful japa and contemplation in the waking state—reciting Shiva-mantras with alert awareness (jāgrat-smṛti). If following Purāṇic Shaiva practice, combine mantra-japa with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as supports for steadiness and purity.
