Duties of Qualified Devotees and Marks of Yogins
tatheha paripūrṇasya sādhyaṃ mama na vidyate | tathaiva kṛtakṛtyānāṃ teṣāmapi na saṃśayaḥ
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It teaches the Shaiva Siddhanta ideal of pūrṇatva (spiritual completeness): when the soul becomes kṛtakṛtya through Shiva’s grace and right practice, nothing remains to be ‘achieved’—liberation is the state of having fulfilled all that is necessary.
Linga-worship and Saguna Shiva devotion are practical means for the bound soul (paśu) to mature into purity and completeness; once that maturity is reached, the seeker rests in Shiva as the already-attained Supreme, rather than chasing further worldly or even ritual attainments.
The takeaway is niṣkāma-bhakti and inward steadiness: continue Shiva-upāsanā (e.g., Panchakshara japa and meditative absorption) until the sense of ‘something still to gain’ falls away into contentment and surrender to Pati (Shiva).
