दक्षस्य यज्ञप्रवृत्तिः तथा ईश्वरवर्जितदेवसमागमः

इत्युक्ते सति देवेन देवी हिमगिरीन्द्रजा । भद्रं भद्रं च संप्रेक्ष्य वत्सं धेनुरिवौरसम्
ityukte sati devena devī himagirīndrajā | bhadraṃ bhadraṃ ca saṃprekṣya vatsaṃ dhenurivaurasam
தேவன் இவ்வாறு கூறியபோது, இமவத் மன்னனின் மகளான தேவி ‘பத்ரம், பத்ரம்’ என்று மங்கலமான அன்புடன் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் நோக்கினாள்; பசு தன் மார்பருகே உள்ள கன்றை நோக்குவது போல.

It portrays śubha-dṛṣṭi—an auspicious, grace-filled gaze—showing how divine speech awakens loving recognition in Śakti; in Shaiva thought, such tenderness symbolizes anugraha (bestowing grace) that nurtures the soul toward freedom.
The verse emphasizes Saguna devotion: the Lord is approached through personal relationship and felt presence. Linga-worship similarly trains the devotee to behold Shiva with steady, auspicious attention (bhadra-dṛṣṭi), transforming reverence into intimate bhakti.
Practice dhyāna with śubha-bhāva: after japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), hold a calm, affectionate gaze on the Shiva-linga (or Shiva’s form) as an inner act of reverent tenderness; this supports steadiness of mind and devotion.
