गजासुरतपः–देवलोकक्षोभः
Gajāsura’s Austerities and the Disturbance of the Worlds
देवा ऊचुः । विधे गजासुरतपस्तप्ता वयमथाकुलाः । न शक्नुमो दिवि स्थातुमतस्ते शरणं गताः
devā ūcuḥ | vidhe gajāsuratapastaptā vayamathākulāḥ | na śaknumo divi sthātumataste śaraṇaṃ gatāḥ
தேவர்கள் கூறினர்—ஓ விதாதா பிரம்மா! கஜாசுரனின் தவத்தால் சுட்டெரிக்கப்பட்டு நாங்கள் கலங்கித் திகைத்தோம். சுவர்க்கத்திலும் நிலைக்க இயலவில்லை; ஆகவே உம்மைச் சரணடைந்தோம்।
