Sukta 7.4
अस्य देवस्य संसद्यनीके यं मर्तासः श्येतं जगृभ्रे । नि यो गृभं पौरुषेयीमुवोच दुरोकमग्निरायवे शुशोच ॥
asyá devásya saṃ-sády anī́ke yáṃ mártāsaḥ śyétam jagṛbhre | ní yó gṛbháṃ paúruṣeyīm uvóca durókam agnír āyáve śuśoca ||
இந்த தேவனின் சந்நிதியில், அவன் முகமண்டலத்தின் அருகில், மர்த்தியர்கள் அந்த வெண்மை-ஒளிமிக்க ஒன்றை பற்றிக் கொண்டனர். மனிதரால் உண்டான அந்தப் பற்றுதலை—வீட்டை வாழ இயலாததாகச் செய்யுமதைக்—கீழிறக்கி உரைத்தவன்; அவனே அக்னி, நாடுபவனுக்காகப் பிரகாசித்து, அறியாமையின் நெருக்கமான குடியிருப்பை எரித்தான்.
