Sukta 6.3
स ईं रेभो न प्रति वस्त उस्राः शोचिषा रारपीति मित्रमहाः । नक्तं य ईमरुषो यो दिवा नॄनमर्त्यो अरुषो यो दिवा नॄन् ॥
sa ī́m rebhó na práti vaste usrā́ḥ śóciṣā rārāpīti mitrám-ahāḥ | náktaṃ ya īm aruṣó yó divā́ nṝ́n amártyo aruṣó yó divā́ nṝ́n ||
ரேப (திறமையான ஸ்தோத்திரப் பாடகர்) போல உஷாஸ் எனும் ஒளிர் விடியல்களில் அவன் தன்னை ஆடையாக்கிக் கொள்கிறான்; தன் ஶோசிஷா (ஜ்வாலை)யால் மித்ர-சாயல் கொண்ட நாட்களை ஒலிக்கச் செய்கிறான். இரவில் அருஷ (செம்மை) ஆனவன், பகலில் மனிதரை வழிநடத்துபவன்—அமரன்; பகலில் மனிதரை வழிநடத்தும் அதே அருஷன்.
