Sukta 5.43
अध्वर्यवश्चकृवांसो मधूनि प्र वायवे भरत चारु शुक्रम् । होतेव नः प्रथमः पाह्यस्य देव मध्वो ररिमा ते मदाय ॥
ádhvaryavaś cakṛvā́ṃso mádhūni prá vāyáve bharata cā́ru śukrám | hóteva naḥ prathamáḥ pāhy asyá deva mádhvo rárimā te mádāya ||
ஏ அத்வர்யுக்களே! மதுமய ஹவிகளைச் செய்து, வாயு-தேவனுக்காக இம்மனோகரமான, ஒளிமிகு சோமப் பானத்தை முன்னே கொண்டு வாருங்கள். தேவே! எங்களுக்குப் முதல் ஹோத்ரைப் போல இதைக் காத்தருள்வாயாக; உமது மகிழ்ச்சி (மத)க்காக இம்மதுவை நாங்கள் அர்ப்பணித்தோம்.
