Sukta 3.57
या ते जिह्वा मधुमती सुमेधा अग्ने देवेषूच्यत उरूची । तयेह विश्वाँ अवसे यजत्राना सादय पायया चा मधूनि ॥
yā́ te jihvā́ mádhumatī sumedhā́ agne devéṣūcyáte urūcī́ | táyehá víśvā́n ávase yájatrān ā́ sādaya pāyayā́ cā́ madhū́ni ||
ஓ அக்னே, உன் நாவு மதுமதீ (தேன் நிறைந்தது) என்றும் சுமேதா (நல்ல ஞானம் உடையது) என்றும்; அது தேவர்களிடையே உரூசீ (விரிந்த ஒளியுடையது) எனப் புகழப்படுகிறது. அதனால் இங்கே எங்கள் அவஸ் (உதவி) காக எல்லா யஜத்ர (வழிபடத்தக்க) சக்திகளையும் அமரச் செய்து, அவர்களுக்கு மதுக்கள் (இனிய ரசங்கள்) அருந்தச் செய்.
