भरतस्य राज्यत्यागः तथा रामानयनप्रतिज्ञा
Bharata Rejects Kingship and Vows to Bring Rama Back
ज्येष्ठस्य राजता नित्यमुचिता हि कुलस्य नः।नैवं भवन्तो मां वक्तुमर्हन्ति कुशला जनाः।।2.79.7।।
jyeṣṭhasya rājatā nityam ucitā hi kulasya naḥ | naivaṃ bhavanto māṃ vaktum arhanti kuśalā janāḥ ||2.79.7||
எங்கள் குலப் பரம்பரையில் அரசாட்சி எப்போதும் மூத்தவருக்கே உரியது; உம்மைப் போன்ற திறமைமிக்கோர் என்னிடம் இவ்வாறு பேசுதல் உரியதன்று।
O illutrious prince! do assume kingship now. Incidentally, there has been yet no attack on this leaderless kingdom.
