Gifts to Suyajna and the Brahmins; Trijata’s Petition and Rama’s Charity
तर्पयस्व महाबाहो गोसहस्रैश्च मानद।सुवर्णै रजतैश्चैव मणिभिश्च महाधनैः।।।।
tarpayasva mahābāho gosahasraiś ca mānada |
suvarṇai rajataiś caiva maṇibhiś ca mahādhanaiḥ ||
ஏ மகாபாஹோ, மரியாதை அளிப்பவனே, ஆயிரம் பசுக்களைத் தானமாகக் கொடுத்து அவர்களைத் திருப்திப்படுத்து; மேலும் பொன், வெள்ளி, மிகமதிப்புள்ள மணிகளாலும் அவர்களை நிறைவுபடுத்தி மகிழ்வி।
O Lakshmana, give away chariots, maid-servants, silk clothes to learned brahmins of Taittiriya branch and well-versed in the Vedas, to agreeable and faithful brahmins attending on Kausalya with their blessings till they are fully satisfied.
