किं न पश्यसि देवर्षे ह्यायुषार्द्धं तु निद्र या । हतं च भोजनाद्यैश्च कियदायुः समाहृतम् ॥ २८ ॥
kiṃ na paśyasi devarṣe hyāyuṣārddhaṃ tu nidra yā | hataṃ ca bhojanādyaiśca kiyadāyuḥ samāhṛtam || 28 ||
தேவரிஷியே, நீ காணவில்லையா—ஆயுளின் பாதி உறக்கத்தால் அழிகிறது? உணவு முதலியவற்றாலும் குறைகிறது; அப்படியிருக்க உயர்ந்த நோக்கத்திற்காக எவ்வளவு ஆயுள் தான் சேர்கிறது?
