Narada (teaching the dana-mantra/intent for offerings to Vishnu in the dialogue with Sanatkumara)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames charity (dāna) as an act of worship to Vishnu (Hṛṣīkeśa), acknowledging Him as the single cosmic cause and seeking well-being (sarva-sukha) as the spiritual fruit (phala) of a pure offering.
Bhakti is expressed through reverent surrender—“namas tubhyam”—and by dedicating a concrete act (gifting wheat) to Vishnu, turning everyday resources into devotional service with God-centered intention.
Ritual application (kalpa-oriented practice) is implied: a specific dāna item (godhūma) is paired with a clear sankalpa/mantra addressed to Vishnu, showing how intention and offering together define the rite’s efficacy.
