मार्कण्डेय उवाच इत्युक्तो ब्रह्मणा सोऽपि तथेत्युक्त्वा महामतिः ।
तत्कर्माभिमुखो यातस्तपसो विरराम ह ॥

மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—பிரம்மா இவ்வாறு உரைத்தபோது அந்த மகாமனத்தவன் “அவ்வாறே ஆகுக” என்று பதிலளித்து, நியமிக்கப்பட்ட பணியை நோக்கி திரும்பி தன் தவத்தை நிறுத்தினான்।
