दुग्धेयं गौस्तदा तेन शस्यानि पृथिवीतले ।
जज्ञिरे तानि बीजानि ग्राम्यारण्यास्तु ताः पुनः ॥
dugdheyam gauḥ tadā tena śasyāni pṛthivī-tale /
jajñire tāni bījāni grāmyāraṇyās tu tāḥ punaḥ //
அந்த ‘பசு’ (பூமி) இவ்வாறு அவரால் பால் கறக்கப்பட்டபோது, பூமியின் மேற்பரப்பில் தானியங்கள் தோன்றின. அந்த விதைகள்—விளைநிலத்திற்குரியதும் காடினதும்—இரண்டும் மீண்டும் உண்டாயின।
