भूमिर्मातादितिर्नो जनित्रं भ्रातान्तरिक्षमभिशस्त्या नः । द्यौर्नः पिता पित्र्याच्छं भवाति जामिमृत्वा माव पत्सि लोकात्

IAST Transliteration

bhū́mir mātā́ditír no janítraṃ bhrā́tāntárikṣam abhíśastyā naḥ | dyáur naḥ pitā́ pitryā́c chaṃ bhavāti jāmím ṛtvā́ mā́va pátsi lokā́t

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Earth is our Mother; Aditi our begetting-place; the Mid-air our Brother—may it save us from the imprecation. Heaven is our Father: from the Fathers’ side may welfare be ours; having reached our kin in due season, fall not away from the world.

Translation

பூமி எங்கள் தாய்; அதிதி எங்கள் பிறப்பிடம்; அந்தரிக்ஷம் எங்கள் சகோதரன்—அது எங்களை அபிசாபம்/தீயவாக்கிலிருந்து காக்கட்டும். த்யௌ (வானம்) எங்கள் தந்தை; பித்ருக்களின் பக்கத்திலிருந்து நமக்கு நலம் உண்டாகட்டும்; காலமுறைப்படி உறவினரை அடைந்து, இந்த லோகத்திலிருந்து நாம் வழுவி விழாதிருப்போமாக.
