Sukta 74
समिन्द्र गर्दभं मृण नुवन्तं पापयामुया। आ तू न इन्द्र शंसय गोष्वश्वेषु शुभ्रिषु सहस्रेषु तुवीमघ
sám índra gardabháṃ mṛṇa núvantaṃ pāpayā́ amuyā́ | ā́ tú naḥ índra śaṃsaya góṣv áśveṣu śubhrī́ṣu sahásreṣu tuvī́magha
Smite utterly, O Indra, that ass—braying forth—by that evil (of his). Hither then, O Indra, make us of good report amid cows and horses, amid splendid possessions, amid thousands, O bounteous one.
இந்திரனே! கத்திக் கொண்டிருக்கும் அந்தக் கர்தபம் (கழுதை) — அதன் அந்தப் பாபச் சக்தியாலேயே — முற்றிலும் அடக்கி நசக்கு. பின்னர், இந்திரனே! பசுக்களிலும் குதிரைகளிலும், ஒளிவிளங்கும் செல்வங்களிலும், ஆயிரக்கணக்கான வளங்களிலும், துவீமக (மிகுந்த தானம் அளிப்பவனே), எங்களுக்கு நல்ல பெயரை அருள்வாயாக.
